I am an engineer working in automotive industry (tier 1 supplier). I am responsible of developing exhaust systems, both hot end (related to aftertreatment systems) and cold end (acoustic features).
I have been involved in many kind of projects for the past ten years. While I used to focus on diesel engines (particulate filters, SCR), I am now dedicating my efforts to gasoline engines, dealing with Euro 6 standards (introduction of Gasoline Particle Filter mainly).
My interest for automotive industry
Since my youngest age, automotive is one of my passions. So, it is not a surprise it is now part of professional activities. I am really interested in automotive as being a versatile product. Indeed, I don't care to have a powerful engine if it is just to go straight or if it is not able to pass properly a speed reducer.
Versatile is not only restricted to engine and chassis. For example, while it may be good to have a nice design for a family car, people should not forget the primary purpose of this kind of car: carry a lot of people and huge amount of luggages! It's always matter of compromise obviously.
